We are an Edinburgh-based theatre group looking for (a) costume designer(s) to put together the costumes for our two productions at the Edinburgh Fringe: Casanova Dreaming
Although most of the costumes will not be required until mid-July, we would like three to be ready by the end of March for publicity purposes.
Casanova Dreaming is set in the mid eighteenth century: 8 male and 8 female costumes are required for 7 actors. Partly because the play is set as a dream,
partly because quick changes are necessary and partly because there is little back-stage storage, costumes for this production should be simple
Volpone is set in the late nineteenth century: 10 male, 8 female and 10 either sex costumes are required for 13 actors. Costumes should clearly identify the
period without being too complicated.
A budget is available for material and labour and the final costs will be subject to negotiation. A complete description of characters and requirements, together with contact details, can
be downloaded here.
We are not currently looking for other crew members. If you want to register an interest in being a director / assistant director / stage manager / stage hand, let us know. We usually offer minimal payment, with the possibility of profit share if the productions are successful.
To register interest email info @ arberyproductions.co.uk.
